With the upcoming release of the new Bond movie No Time to Die, Adidas revealed a new line of 007-themed running shoes centered around the film’s main characters and locations. We worked with Amsterdam-based Studio Lore as well as MGM on a series of promotional videos showcasing the variety of different models as well as the fabric used for each shoe. Our goal was to showcase the fabric and design of the show while paying homage to the style of Bond movies.
Process We used the iconic Bond gun barrel intro as a base for the animation and as a method to present each product. Using a 3D animation of the gun barrel, we incorporated the fabric of the shoe into the barrel material to give the viewer a closer view of the product fabric. We then photographed each shoe and camera mapped the photos onto a 3D model. This gave us the flexibility to alter the angle and motion of each product inside of our main 3D software, as well the possibility to render the product in a CG setting inspired by the upcoming 007 film.
